History:
In 1973, Thomas G. Feenan, CPCU founded ATA Insurance Agency, Inc. out of a small storefront in Dorchester, MA. Since our inception, we have grown to one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Eastern Massachusetts and a leader in providing quality, affordable protection for thousands of individuals, families and businesses throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Providing superior customer service and low rates along with our ability to understand our customer’s coverage needs drives the success of ATA Insurance Agency, Inc.
Our parent company, Feenan Financial Group, founded by Tom Feenan in 1970, has been providing expert personal & corporate income tax services, retirement planning, and wealth management strategies to individuals & businesses nation-wide for nearly 40 years. After a few years in the tax business, Tom and company recognized a demand for affordable personal & commercial insurance. Naturally, the insurance agency was dubbed ATA - American Tax Associates! While our roots are in minimizing tax liability, our primary goal at ATA has always been to identify our clients' financial and personal liabilities, and develop a customized plan to protect those liabilities for the lowest possible cost.
